Personalities
We are all designed with a special set of strengths and weaknesses, quirks, learning styles, likes and dislikes, and so much more. We are each uniquely different but in some ways are very much the same. This section of learning is going to talk about the main ways we are each alike. How you can spot certain personality traits in others in order to make for better conversations and interactions. If you can learn to recognize your own strengths and weaknesses, you can learn to spot them in others and know how to compensate for them. We were designed to work together. If we are like magnets opposing each other rather than attracting each other, things can get in the way and nothing gets accomplished.

The following lessons are to test how well you can recognize and help each of the personality types.
Remember, people respond best when you speak their "language". You'd have a difficult time today if your substitute teacher only spoke Russian. If they were from England or Australia you'd at least understand the point they were trying to get across even if they did use some words that you didn't understand. The better you can recognize each one of these "languages", the better you can get along with others.

Project
Imagine that you have got a presentation to give on the history of something we use today and how it will change and grow into the future. You will be graded on each individual piece of the project and you have to give a presentation at the end which could lead on to further competitions. Who is on your dream team? You can only have one person from each quadrant of the personalities. Why did you choose that person? What is their responsibility for the project? How will you encourage them to use their strength? How will you encourage the rest of the team to fill in the gap of their weakness? |
